Choosing string trimmer & hedge trimmer parts

Two-stroke trimmers run on a fuel-and-oil mix that gums up tiny diaphragm carburetors faster than anything else in the shed. When the trimmer only runs with the choke half on, or dies the moment you squeeze the throttle, the carb is the usual suspect.

Most kits on this shelf arrive with the fuel line, filter, primer bulb and plug in the same bag, because on a trimmer those parts age together. Swapping them all at once is how you get a first-pull start instead of a tenth.
