A chainsaw that bogs down in the cut or won't hold an idle is usually telling you about fuel, not the chain. These kits replace the carburetor together with the filters and lines that feed it, so the saw gets a clean start from the tank to the cylinder.

The cut-off saw carbs are for the heavy two-strokes that live in dust all day. They come with fresh air filters in the box, because a new carb behind a clogged filter will not last the week.
