Butom has spent more than ten years doing one thing: getting small engines to start again.
Butom began with a simple observation: most small engines aren't worn out when they stop. They're starved. A varnished jet, a clogged filter, a cracked fuel line or a tired plug is enough to park a perfectly good mower, and the parts to fix it were either expensive or hard to identify.
So we went to the factories that make these parts and started matching them, number by number, to the machines people actually own. More than ten years on, that is still the work. We connect the factory with the person holding the pull cord, and we try to make the part easy to identify, fairly priced and complete in the bag.
What we hold ourselves to
Every carburetor is wet-flow tested before it ships. Kits include the gaskets and small parts that belong with the main part. Every listing states the numbers it replaces and the models it has been matched to, and says clearly when there's a catch, such as manual choke only, or not for a certain carb stamp.
And when something doesn't fit, we want to hear about it. Every message helps us tighten a fit list for the next person.
