The GCV160 is one of the most common mower engines on American lawns, and its carburetor is the part that fails first. Old fuel leaves varnish in the main jet and the mower starts, surges and dies. This kit swaps the whole carburetor instead of chasing a clogged jet with a wire.

It is a manual-choke carb, so it suits engines with a choke lever on the handle or the engine, not the auto-choke versions. The gaskets, an inline filter and a shut-off valve ride in the same bag, so the fuel path is fresh from the tank to the intake.
